About Lou
 |
Lou Kelman lives and works in Perth, Western Australia.
She is happily married to Michael for 17 years and
they have two beautiful children Jonah aged 10 and Ellie
aged 9.
Lou was born in 1968 and
started out on the stage at
the tender age of 5 captivating
the audience with her
voice, tap dancing and stage
confidence. Lou’s young life
turned upside down when
her Parents divorced at the
age of 6. Lou then spent a
great deal of time with her
grandfather whom taught
Lou to sing every ‘old time
musical song’ in the book.
Lou then performed old
time musical and comedy
for most of her young years
before moving on to writing
her own musicals and directing
them for her local dance
groups and school.
At the age of 16 Lou’s life
took a downward turn whilst
living abroad in the USA as
a live in Nanny. Lou was
suffering from severe isolation,
depression and anxiety
attacks and one night
she prayed a prayer that
changed her live forever, she
asked God for help and he
answered in a dramatic way.
Lou became a Christian.
On her return from the
United States to the UK she
met Michael at her local
church where she was writing
and directing a Musical
for children. They married
soon after and moved to
Australia.
Although born in the UK, Lou
has lived and raised her
children in Australia and
considers herself a POSSIE.
(An Australian and Pommie
mixed together).
Lou is animal mad and would
live on a farm is she had her
way. Both of her children
want to be Vets and Lou had
made them promise they will
bring all the furry animals
home for Mom to cuddle and
care for.
Lou is a wonderful warm
person whom is funny on
and off stage but has great
depth from suffering in her
own life.
