I am back DOWN UNDER and it's raining !!!

Hello Ladies!!

Hello Ladies!! I am back in the land down under and have kissed the Kids. Yes, they missed me! They must have as they said they even missed my cooking LOL!!

Thanks to all the ladies whom came to see the show on my recent tour in the USA - what a great time we had. Also thanks to all the ladies whom hosted and worked so hard to produce the shows – you're all stars.

I just counted up I did 24 flights on this tour. I don't think I will ever eat a peanut or pretzel again!! I did get caught up in the recent Tornadoes on the end of the tour and ended up arriving at the Tennessee show after 26 hours and 5 flights – no luggage – no costumes of props – but can I say I experienced the wonderful Southern Hospitality as the ladies embraced me with love and laughter and borrowed clothes.

I will be back in the Autumn. Hope to see you all soon.

Have a great Summer!- Its pouring down here !!

Kindest Regards
Lou Kelman

Happy New Year

Happy New Year from Lou

Happy New Year Ladies !! I am very excited about this year as I have decided to announce this is MY year!!

I will tell you why !! I lost 14lbs before Christmas and managed not to put the whole lot back on over the festive season. I'm now on the hormone replacement therapy and seemed to have stopped trying to kill my family mid cycle (although down side is I have grown a beard) but apart from that my family have been able to come out of hiding in their safe house. I have had about a million emails telling me I have won millions of dollars in lotteries I have never entered LOL.

I also receive an email everyday telling me someone in another country would like to put a million dollars into my bank account and just for helping them out I can keep it LOL LOL !!! I have never won anything so I am buying a ticket for everything this year as I figure I must be next in line for something... so I figure this is MY year.

I also am coming soon back to the wonderful USA and looking forwarding to seeing some old and new friends in the Eastern States when I visit in April. I am especially looking forward to working with the amazing ELVIS in Tennessee (akas Bill Kelly) best darn Elvis I have ever seen. I have also decided to come again to the USA in this FALL 2008 (Oct/Nov) so if you would like to host a show click here for more info.

Well Happy New Year to you all and I wish you a wonderful 2008

Kindest Regards

Lou Kelman

Hi Lou.......so glad to hear you arrived home in one piece.

Hysterical time had at Hyde Park

Thanks to all the Ladies that made it to the HYDE PARK show - what a great time we had.

What a blast the 'Gum Nut Girls' were and their  great idea of selling off their assets and buying a tour bus to go out and have fun as  a group is just fantastic. Bev Fussell  are very own 'Empress of the West ' was there with her chapter 'The Strawberry Tarts' and what a hoot to hear all about their 'flight to no-where'.

I have just seen the DVD from the show and it is fantastic - for all those whom pre-ordered you should have your copy soon. If you would like a copy of this current new show -they will be up and on the website for  sale in the next week or so.

Count down for my leaving Australia to entertain over 4500 ladies in the USA is coming around very quickly with only 14 days till I leave - the excitement is starting and my suitcases are jammed full with purple undies to throw out at the shows.

If you have not yet booked tickets and would like to see the show then click on the shows page - you can see if I am coming near you and find the contact details for that particular show -  most shows are filling up fast and some even sold out so get a wiggle on .

Until then - Be well and  Keep Laughing

BIG PURPLE UNDIES ROCKED IN ROCKINGHAM!

I want to say a 'Big Thankyou ' to the hundreds of Ladies ( and the odd terrified male) whom came to see the show in Rockingham what a night (&day) we had.

A special 'Thanks' to the wonderful bus load of 'Red Hat ladies' from down South whom made the trip to come and see the show.

I am still laughing at the antics of little welsh 'Daphne' whom came up on stage and got her feather Boa stuck in the rather large bra hanging from the stage set .

And in the second show how could I forget little old 'ILENE' from around the corner whom nearly gave the man in the front row a thump for telling her he needed 'Nourishment Not Punishment ' with her dancing !!

The theatre group at the Rockingham were fantastic and they looked after us all so well , Good luck with 'Grease' Guys in September I hope its a sell out.

Thought I would include one of the lovely emails I received after that show. :

Hi Lou, I just had to email you after seeing your wonderful show on Sunday at Rockingham, I came with our chapter from Busselton, we never stopped laughing all the way home , good on you for bringing such joy to all of our lives.
They do say life begins at 40 let me tell you that life definitely begins at 60 when one has retired , and there are so many enjoyable activities to join in.
I would love to say a big thankyou from us all here in Busselton, and wish you well in your next port of call .

I was with the little midget from Wales , she came up on stage to be part of your backing group, and we were all having a laugh as you were talking to the other two ladies , the midget (Daphne) had got her scarf caught up in the rather large pair of bra's hanging on the line at the back!!!!

By for now kindest regards ,
Mary Hubbard (lady megabytes) geo gals Busselton .

ANYONE FOR THE MENTAL ASYLUM?

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

This funny story reminds me - I did a show a couple of years ago at a well known Mental Asylum in my Home town. I was booked to entertain the Doctors and Nurses- I arrived all decked out in my feathers and hat, clutching a big pair of BIG PURPLE UNDIES.

I got lost walking around the campus- a member of staff came over and asked me if I was Ok ? I said "Yes I am doing a show here today"- she said "Yes Love - how Lovely do you remember what your name is ?" LOL !!! I said " YES MY NAME IS STUPID- AS I ALWAYS FORGET THE BIT OF PAPER WITH MY INSTRUCTIONS ON - I SIGHED - NO REALLY I AM HERE TO PERFORM A SHOW " she kindly kept talking & offered to walk with me to find my important Instructions she gently and calmly tried to reassure me that perhaps she could help me back to my ward LOL LOL LOL !!!

Anyway she sounded so nice - I really toyed with the idea of just going with her and lying down and having a rest somewhere - until I was spotted by person whom booked me for the performance (which I was now late for - I was booked to cheer up the Medical Students at the end of a very cruelling conference to end the day with some fun) - who shouted "There you are MS.... KELMAN There waiting for you in the Main Auditorium" .

I told many funny stories at the conference that day to all the medical students but the one they laughed the most at was the true story of me and this lady walking around the campus that day on the way to entertain them .

As a Footnote - I had already instructed my Husband in the morning of my 'intended venue' that day and told him "if I was not back my 5pm that day to come and get me as they may have not let me back out " .

My husband had shouted back from the breakfast table in his usual dry sense of humour Yep ! Love don't worry if your not back in a week or so - I'll drop by and claim you !!

Have a great day all.

The 'Biggest Morning Tea'

Hello everyone -

I was guest speaker at the 'Biggest Morning Tea' here today in Australia which is a fundraiser for Breast Cancer and it was terrific. The lady that organises it Aileen (a breast cancer survivor) worked so hard to put the event on well done! .

A sea of ladies face's - some I have seen many times at my engagement's and some fresh new face's ( new meat!! ) whom laughed till they cried.

Including one Poor dear lady whom clutched her stomach all the way through my spiel as she had just come out of hospital ( bless her ) .

There was a lovely big crowd from a local gardening club - I am very jealous I was not blessed with those green fingers - friends don't leave me their house plants to look after anymore as they all die on my watch ( LOL )

Also the weight watchers group were there - they are a great fun group , been together years not one of them has lost an ounce ( LOL !! Must join myself) but they have social outings instead .

Of course my wonderful Red Hat ladies were there in their finery - I love them all dearly for their support .

Well this is my first post - Phew !! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be - I keep thinking who would want to hear about me ?? but the web- designer has assured me everyone is doing a blog these days so well here I am .

At least if your up late and can not sleep - my life may send you back to sleep (LOL)

OK God bless and Keep Laughing

LOU x
